The Vatican has just announced that there will be a new Synod in October 2022 on Synodality. Courtney Mares reported:
In October 2022, bishops from around the world will meet in Rome to discuss the theme: “For a synodal Church: communion, participation and mission.” The concept of “synodality” has been a topic of frequent discussion by Pope Francis, particularly during the previous ordinary Synod of Bishops on young people, the faith, and vocational discernment in October 2018. Synodality, as defined by the International Theological Commission in 2018, is “the action of the Spirit in the communion of the Body of Christ and in the missionary journey of the People of God.”
The term is generally understood to represent a process of discernment, with the aid of the Holy Spirit, involving bishops, priests, religious, and lay Catholics, each according to the gifts and charisms of their vocation. Pope Francis told the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith’s theological commission in November that synodality will be key for the Church in the future.
“Synodality is a style, it is a walk together, and it is what the Lord expects from the Church of the third millennium,” Pope Francis said Nov. 29.Is this synod the one that is predicted to occur just before the Warning prophesied by Our Lady to the children of Garabandal? The apparitions of Garabandal occurred in Spain between 1961-1965. Our Lady told the children about a coming Warning followed within a year by a Miracle. These events will occur when the sins of man reaches its peak. According to Conchita Gonzalez, one of the four girls of Garabandal, the Warning will happen following an ecclesial synod, which Conchita described as a “small council.”
Mother Nieves Garcia who knew Conchita stated in 2014:
During the apparitions, the Virgin told Conchita that before the future events occur, a Synod will take place, an important Synod. Then Conchita told the story to her aunt. The aunt asked her: “Do you refer to a Council?” Because that was the time of the Second Vatican Council. Conchita told her aunt, “No, the Virgin didn’t say Council, she said Synod, and I think Synod is a small council.”
It is impossible for a twelve year old girl without any knowledge and culture to talk about a Synod that didn’t exist and we didn’t know at that time, and in addition she defined the Synod as a “small council.”
I have heard this from Fr. Rafinel, and he heard it from Fr. Pesquera who wrote some of the first books about the Garabandal apparitions. He discussed that with Professor Lacques Serre who works at Paris Sorbonne University and he described that Synod as a pre-Warning. The Professor wrote him many letters in which he also described that as a “pre-Warning.”In past posts I have mentioned my speculation that the Warning will occur in October 2022 and the Miracle on April 13, 2023 (the last Day of Passover in the Diaspora in 2023). Among devout Jews the last day of Passover is a special day to focus on the Messiah and to eat the special Meal of the Messiah (Se'udat Mashiach). Could the Warning come during Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles) which is from 9th of October until the 16th of October in 2022? It would seem that the fourth day of Sukkot which is the 13 October and 18th of Tishrei in the Jewish calendar would be a likely day or the 18th of October which is 23 of Tishrei and Simchat Torah (Festival of Rejoicing in the Torah) in 2022. I also wrote that I believed that the second and third secrets of Medjugorje refer to the Warning and Miracle and that a well-known priest Father Livio believes that the first secret will happen in 2021.
Of course we could be all jumping the gun but with all the rapid events occurring since 2014 it is possible that the prophesied times are upon us. It was also said that the Warning would happen after "something like a schism" had occurred in the Church. I would say this has and is occurring with the increasing attacks and criticism of Pope Francis by those on the right and left in the Church. This seems to be getting worse with many formerly devout orthodox Catholics referring to the Pope as a heretic or even anti-Christ. Our Lady many years ago warned us through Father Gobbi and the Marian Movement about this growing contestation of the Pope and his magisterium.
